Licensing:

Nevada has two licensing boards, the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) and the Nevada State Board of Osteopathic Medicine (NBOME). Currently, the process is different depending on whether you will be working with an MD (allopathic) or a DO (osteopathic).

Statutes that govern the NBME licensing may be found in NRS 630 and statutes that govern the NBOME may be found in NRS 633. Recently, changes to the current NRS 633 was approved to reflect the licensing process of the NBME, but the change will not become effective until January 2008.
